A reimagined Craftsman cottage sets the scene for making memories
This charming Craftsman cottage could have popped off the page of a storybook. Delicate details including millwork and pocket doors graced cozy spaces, yet it wasn’t quite right for a modern mom with three growing girls. To make it feel like home, a finished basement was added for play space and the rooms were reconfigured on the first floor. Upstairs, otherwise wasted space beneath the eaves was magically transformed into whimsical built-in storage for baby dolls, books, and seasonal clothing. During the remodel, classic architectural features were carefully retained and replicated then painted bright white to punctuate the pastel palette.
