
SHUXIN LIN’S diverse background with experience in science, graphic design, and vernacular architectural history greatly enriches her work in residential architecture today.
Shuxin received her Master of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame in 2018, with an emphasis in hand drawing and watercolor techniques of classical architecture. While in graduate school, Shuxin strengthened her interest in traditional architecture and historic construction techniques during a semester study abroad program in Rome, Italy. She also conducted extensive first-hand research on existing Song dynasty buildings in China from the years 950-1020. At FGA, Shuxin enjoys working at a variety of scales, from connection details to complex site plans, and appreciates the firm’s ability to create timeless, elegant, and intuitive designs. Outside of work, Shuxin enjoys tennis, hiking, and frequenting the farmer’s markets in the area.
