Daniel Colvard, AIA, joined Fergus Garber Architects in 2020. He is a licensed architect with over 10 years of design and construction experience. Daniel holds a master’s degree in architecture from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. Prior to joining the FGA team, Daniel gained experience designing custom residential, civic, and commercial projects with firms on the East Coast and in the Netherlands. He also learned to swing a hammer while framing houses in his home state of North Carolina and gutting one of his own, picking up a few splinters and an appreciation for skilled craftsmanship along the way. Daniel teaches architectural design at Stanford University, having taught previously at Carnegie Mellon University and the Boston Architectural College. Outside of work and teaching, he enjoys playing ice hockey, cooking for friends, and soaking up the California sunshine with his wife, son, and their beloved hound.
