FOSTER WESTOVER thrives in the collaborative and inventive design culture at FGA. In his practice, he aspires to create timeless, livable designs – inspired by many of the elegant homes on the Peninsula where he was raised – and continually strives to investigate the best design approach for each modern family.

Foster received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2021 and officially joined the firm after spending two prior summers as an intern. During college, Foster spent time in Seoul and Tokyo and traveled across Japan by Shinkansen, the bullet train, stopping in locales including the beach town of Ichinomiya and the art islands of Naoshima and Teshima. The diverse cultures and topography of Eastern Asia continue to rank among the greatest sources of inspiration for his designs. When he is not at work, Foster can be found adventuring outdoors – surfing, skiing, and wakeboarding.

“In custom residential architecture, I love that I get to explore different ways to create and personalize well-designed homes for our clients that will transcend the passage of time. Flexible thinking, resourcefulness, and teamwork are essential, and I find joy in knowing that there will always be new things to discover in the process.”
